Dolly Parton Quote on Breasts
Here is a recent quote from Dolly Parton:
"I'm in showbiz. I look at my boobs like they're show horses or show dogs. You've got to keep them groomed."
Groomed??? This can mean one of three things:
1. She has her implants changed out every so often, or...
2. She has her breasts lifted every so often, or...
3. She has hair on her breasts.
Maybe you have some ideas.

Pam Anderson - Breast Implant Craze Down Under
According to Make Me Heal.com, busty celebrities like Pamela Anderson have sparked a trend among Australian women to get massive breast implants, like the famous actress. The article states:
...This trend has led to Australian plastic surgeons needing to import mega-size 1000ml implants from the only available country for such sized implants, the United States...The average implant size for Coast surgery, an Australia based plastic surgery practice, has increased from 280ml to 375ml in the last five years. Moreover, models already accessorized with 400ml implants have been looking to double their size.
“In the last four to six months I’ve noticed a rapid increase in size. The trend for women having breast augmentation is to go large. Our patients believe bigger is better,” says Pamela Noon from the International Surgery Group.
It is true that the size of implants has gone up over the years. Most of the implants which I have removed from 15-20 years ago are smaller (225-270cc's) than my average implant size today (350 cc's). While I do agree that most women who have breast augmentation and regret their size choice would have rather gone larger, there are considerable risks with larger sized implants. I tell my patients, "The bigger it is, the faster it will fall."
When women have extremely large implants placed, this can unnaturally accelerate the drooping of a breast. Most reputable, board-certified plastic surgeons explain this to patients who desire large implants.
By the way, I have never seen a 1000 cc implant. The biggest size that the implant companies routinely make is 800cc. The largest that I have placed for a cosmetic breast augmentation is about 525 cc, and this was only once.

Hugh Grant - Fake Facelift
Hugh Grant reportedly donned an elastic wrap around his head to imitate a facelift for the movie "Music and Lyrics."
This reminds me of the following cartoon I saw on a greeting card I bought one day:
I wonder if the "Elastic Lift" is the same thing that Joe Pesci appeared to use for his last couple movies?
According to RealSelf.com:
The actor revealed to the media, "I had to play myself back in the Eighties, so I had an elastic lift - it's a tight piece of band around the face that's invisible but makes you look like you've had a facelift. I loved it and refused to take it off for a week!"

Gene Simmons Facelift
TMZ.com has released a photo of Gene Simmons after his recent reported facelift. This is to be covered on his A&E reality show "Gene Simmons Family Jewels." He appears to have had upper and lower blepharoplasties, hence the puffiness. He also looks like he had a lower facelift. The red plastic tubes are drains, likely from the facelift, that are used to remove extra blood and fluid that can accumulate under the skin. I usually take them out one day after surgery. It does seem like his eyelid swelling is a bit excessive, although men often swell a lot. His neckline looks great though. I bet he's going to look really good when all is said and done. Before we know it he'll be ready to rock and roll all night...

Paris Hilton - Breast Augmentation?
I often get photos of Paris Hilton from celebrity magazines to determine whether she has had a breast augmentation. Her larger breasts have always appeared to be due to fancy push-up bras, and not surgery. In an earlier post I commented on how she has been quoted saying that breast augmentation would "cheapen" her image.
Her larger-appearing breasts in this photo are also likely due to a push-up bra. I don't think she's had her breasts done. Time will tell...Then again, does anyone actually care what she does???

Jocelyn Wildenstein - Part III - Fixing Her Plastic Surgery
So, how would I fix Jocelyn Wildenstein's bad plastic surgery?
This would be quite the job for any plastic surgeon. Here are some things I would recommend if she came to me for consultation:
1. No more plastic surgery unless it is to correct the previous work that has been done.
2. Remove any cheek implants that have been placed. Consider liposuctioning any excess fat grafts which have been put into the cheeks.
3. Refer her to an oculoplastic specialist to consider reversing the apparent canthopexy she's had. This is the procedure that causes the eyes to look slanted and cat-like. Reversal of this surgery would make the eyes look more natural. Technically I could do this, but it is not a surgery I've performed for quite some time.
4. Surgically remove the lip implants she appears to have. This would unfortunately necessitate a cut either at one end of each lip or along the whole lip margin, depending on what substance is in her lips.
5. Surgically remove the chin implant that she appears to have. This may be performed via the mouth. Unfortunately some implants grow into the bone and may be a big problem to remove. These are not the implants that I use, which are easily removed in a 5 minute surgery.
This would be the start, and I think could definitely be a big step towards making her look more normal again. Any more suggestions from other plastic surgeons or blog readers are welcome!

Lindsay Lohan - Lip Injections?
Here is a photo taken a couple days ago while Lindsay Lohan was shopping in Manhattan. Her lips are looking a bit puffy, possibly the result of Restylane or the new Juvederm injectables. If she's had them done recently, the swelling will subside within a couple days and the next time you see her she may look pretty normal. If the swelling is already gone, then she is going to look this way for the next 6 months.

Helen Mirren offered Botox for Oscars
Now Magazine and Plasticized.com are reporting that Helen Mirren was offered a host of cosmetic treatments as celebrity swag prior to the Oscars:
According to the Daily Mirror a host of celebs were offered the bizarre 'goodie bags' packes with vouchers for wrinkle treatments, including Botox, to help them look their best at the awards. Plain-talking Helen was having none of it though. 'I'm very vain, which initially made playing Elizabeth Windsor in all those tweeds pretty daunting,' she said. 'But I'm not fond of all those needles and scalpels. 'I'll try to get away with make-up, jewelry and a nice frock.'
Now, some may not like this statement: While I agree that Helen Mirren looked great at the Oscars, she does have some pretty deep wrinkles. Botox would improve these, and if done by a good plastic surgeon, could make her look even better (and not artificial). She is a good example though, of aging gracefully without Botox. I still think that she's possibly had a facelift in the past.
While Helen appears to have turned down Botox, it's too bad that Nicole Kidman appears to have taken them up on their offer, along with taking her pal Naomi Watts' Botox and lip plumper swag. I've never heard of actual surgery being offered in swag bags for free, however.

Gene Simmons Having a Facelift
Starpulse is reporting that KISS rocker Gene Simmons and longtime girlfriend Shannon Tweed had facelifts done recently, and their experience will be documented on their reality show. He has been looking a bit rough lately, so maybe a little plastic surgery can make him look nicer. You can see the heavy neckline under the makeup, which should be improved with the facelift. Can anyone name another hard rocker who had a facelift performed on TV? Hint: He didn't have his surgery done by Dr. Feelgood...

Kellie Pickler - Breast Augmentation
Here is a photo of American Idol singer Kellie Pickler from last night's show. As you can see, she does appear to have had a recent breast augmentation. When breast implants are too big they can make some women look heavy. This appears to be the case with her. I still think she's hilarious and talented, even though she didn't have me do her plastic surgery.

Kellie Pickler - Small Town Girl, Big Time Breasts
If you saw American Idol tonight you may have noticed that Kellie Pickler has a few new acquisitions (a.k.a. breast implants). Ryan Seacrest asked the obviously enhanced country singer if she has bought anything recently. She replied, "Yes, shoes." Yeah, right!
Her breasts are much larger than I remember when she was a contestant on American Idol last season. It seems that her album advance check went to more than a new pair of shoes!
