I don't know what it is with all of these female stars getting so thin.
Renee Zellweger was recently photographed looking anorexic. She does not look healthy. Add her to the list: Angelina Jolie, Jenna Jameson, pre-pregnancy Nicole Richie, etc. Somebody should feed her.

I disagree. I find her both untalented and unattractive but she certainly has great legs and they look spectacular when she's at her slimmest. Fast on, Renee.fn
ReplyDeleteThey're that skinny because as a woman, you won't work if your weight is "normal." There's normal by your standards, and then there's normal by Hollywood standards. They're two completely different things. I agree Ms. Zellweger is too thin, but she's at what we actors refer to as "camera weight." Add the 10 or 15 pounds the camera does, and she looks fine. Screwy? Absolutely. Even more so that millions of women across the globe aspire to a look only achievable by starvation.
ReplyDeleteShe looks awful, especially if the camera is supposingly adding 10-15 lbs to her. Those legs don't look so great when the picture is blown up and you can see the veins popping out.
ReplyDeleteI don't care what the previous poster says, those woman do not look normal weight on film, either.
I just love how we criticize stars for being too skinny right after we criticize them for being too fat. They will never be the perfect weight to everyone, and I believe it's that scrutiny that causes such unhealthy extremes in celebs. Renee is just one example of this.
ReplyDeletethe thing is, most women want to be slender. Celebrities have more incentive than others to keep the weight off because it affects their very livelihood. I think a lot of women like to bag celebrities for being too thin because they're simply envious that its something they have trouble achieving.
ReplyDeleteI think Renee looks great here, stylish and lean. And remember, what is now the 'normal' female american weight is not necessarily the optimum healthy weight.
This picture shows a clearly unhealthy weight for anyone (American average sizes have nothing to do with this issue). She is looking gaunt and ghastly here. I agree she isn't exactly beautiful at the best of times, but she looks downright emaciated here. Yuck
ReplyDeleteI actually ran across her at a starbucks here in texas and her clothes were hanging off her, she looked so scrawny and tiny. I felt sad for her. This was not to long after her failed marriage to that country singer.
