Lara Flynn Boyle is making an appearance on Law and Order (my wife's favorite show, which I can't stand!). Her lips look large (they have for years) but her face appears a bit more filled out. Take a peek at the NBC trailer here.
It's possible she may have had fat grafting or Sculptra injections to volumize her face, but she may also have gained a few pounds. She was dreadfully thin when she dated Jack Nicholson.
Thanks for reading.

She looks ordinary now. She used to look spectacular, although too skinny, with her wonderful bony face and dramatic coloring. Now she's just another pretty somewhat puffy-looking face. Disappointing.
ReplyDeleteDon't the chipmunk cheeks also come from years of binging and purging?
ReplyDeletei think she looks wonderful except for that upper lip.
ReplyDeletein my personal experience chipmunk cheeks come from binging, no purging. (-:
I watched it a number of times and she looks very different. I doubt she would have gained enough weight to account for her face. I agree with the first comment above, she's lost her uniqueness.
ReplyDeleteFrom what I see, she resembles people I have seen who have kidney problems. More often than not their faces have swollen in the same manner.
ReplyDeleteyep, she has the tell tale look of someone on prednisone.
ReplyDeleteShe looks like someone on prednisone or some other kind of steroid.
ReplyDeleteUgh, she looks very weird - more so than usual, especially her big duck lip. As for the strangely fuller face, if she is ill, I am very sorry for her, if she is doing this on purpose to her face - someone please stop her...!!!
ReplyDeleteShe looks like she had a stroke. A little bit lopsided.
ReplyDeleteShe looked really bad and rather lumpy. She looked nothing like herself. If I had not heard her name, I would not have recognized her. It is sad to be in a position where you feel the need to do that to yourself in order to survive. Men like Jack Nicholson can let themselves go and nobody cares.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with the last comment. I just googled to see if she had lupus (kidney related illness) because her swollen face but thin body is typical of people on lupus medication.
ReplyDeleteShe still looked pretty sickly in the bikini so I doubt it was weight gain, although I've never been thin like that.. maybe weight goes to your face once you cross the threshold to healthy weight
IF IT WEREN'T FOR HER VOICE, I NEVER WOULD HAVE KNOWN IT WAS HER--SHE WAS BEAUTIFUL AND NOW SHE'S RUINED. ALL THE MONEY IN THE WORLD CAN'T BRING BACK HER FACE.
ReplyDeleteI think she looked much better (even though too thin) before the she obtained the fat lips and chipmunk cheeks. The face puffiness makes her look like she's been on mega-doses of prednisone.
ReplyDeleteI just watched Law and Order and being horrified at Lara Flynn Boyle's mouth, I googled her name to see if there was any info...looks like there's lots! I honestly do NOT think it's just weight gain because she even TALKS differently. And her mouth didn't even wrinkle or crease when she talked or grimaced...very freaking weird! What could she have done? And WHY????
ReplyDeleteI think she looks horrible, she was a beautiful young woman although way too thin(anorexic), but the fat injections and botox or whatever, make her look like she is trying to fight her anorexia by plumping her face. She needs to plump her ego and face her disorder and get someone to help with her bad surgery results.
ReplyDeletelooks like prednisone cheeks to me
ReplyDeleteIf you watch tonight's episode of Law and Order, you should also pay attention to the scene in the end when her character breaks down in tears. As her face crumples, her forhead stays amazingly smooth - yet another example of actresses shooting Botax into their "11's", effectively paralyzing the muscles between their eyebrows. Why an actress would want to cripple any part of their face that can help express emotion is a mystery to me.
ReplyDeletethe chipmunk face in "kidney" people isn't from the kidney problem except that its from the medicine, normally prednizone that makes you retain water.
ReplyDeleteI saw the show and she looked absolutely awful. Nothing on her face moved. Her face looked very bloated and waxy and she had trout mouth. Such a shame. She used to be so pretty.
ReplyDeleteShe looked horrible! Her face was swollen, it looked like she found it hard to speak, she walked like she was in pain, and in the scene where she was being followed to meet up with her lover, she looked like she was too weak to open the door to the building! What is she doing to herself??
ReplyDeleteI immediately noticed that she looked very different.. As the above readers have stated..the face was fat and the body was thin.. I was so surprised at the whole new look that I drove my husband nuts.. And..we saw it on a 54 inch screen in High Def..so she was big as life.. Too thin before, but she did lose her uniqueness.
ReplyDeleteI think her facial distortion is a combination of three things: too much Botox, too much alcohol, possible mild stroke from anorexia. She was so beautiful in TWIN PEAKS. You see, being skinny has its price, too. Poor health.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't even stand to look at her. She looked as though she had been in an accident. She was so beautiful. I've admired her since Twin Peaks and never thought she was too thin.
ReplyDeleteI came on here because i too was surprised to see it was her. but i am more surprised to see how people can be cruel choosing their verbiage. Someone said ruined? gee whiz- she is a person. A person who obviously is concerned about her looks. I pray that the issue is not kidney/prednisone related.
ReplyDeleteless beautifull now
ReplyDeleteWhat is the true tragedy here is how society puts massive pressure on women to measure up to a certain standard of "beauty" and the enormous expense (health and well being) that women sacrfice as a result. I saw the episode but what bothers me the most is the comments stated here (that only contribute to our already severe low self esteem and insecurities) such as: "Disappointing", "She's lost her uniqueness", "I think she looks wonderful except...", "Ugh, she looks very weird", "She looked really bad and rather lumpy", "I think she looks horrible", "She was beautiful and now she's ruined", "I couldn't even stand to look at her" and so on.... What if Lara read these statements? Where do we go for positive reinforcements? No one really commented on whatever the real underlying issue could be that would cause Lara and so many women to take such measures. I'm just saying that we all need each other and we need to make it a habit of being more supportive and encouraging if we really want to achieve "uniqueness"...
ReplyDeleteI just watched a rerun of that episode, and I barely recognized her. Her face looked like a botched plastic surgery job. Why in the world would she do something like that? She was a pretty woman before, although extremely thin. The only recognizable feature were her eyes.
ReplyDeleteIt's a tragedy - she has ruined her appearance permanently. Oh Woe is Lara!
ReplyDeleteI don't believe its additional weight. I have to think she's had fat grafting or sculptra and went too far with it. I saw her today in a film that was done in 2006 and she already had the odd facial puffiness - the lips were too big then as well, of course. Too bad really, because she had a really spectacular face (and still has lovely eyebrows)before it got so puffy and bloated.
ReplyDeleteI do not understand why women are making themselves ugly by erasing wrinkles. Who decided wrinkles are not beautiful? Lara Flynn Boyle was so beautiful and unique looking. Where are her friends to tell her not to get plumped up? Why are we not outraged at the surgeons who are promising "results" of beauty, when they are really just cosmetic terrorists? It's just really sad that she looked in the mirror and decided to change her appearance. Now she is stuck on a never-ending cycle of fixes. Television is getting weirder and weirder with all these actresses (and actors) with face jobs. Bring back wrinkles and REAL faces please.
ReplyDeleteWell, I have never thought of her as being very attractive in the first place, but OMG! Just when I thought it couldn't look any worse, I see her on Law & Order. She looks WAY "over done". She should sue her plastic surgeon for gross negligence. Who could possibly think she looks "good"? I feel sorry for her. She went from unattractive to disturbing to look at. Seriously, it's like looking at a freak show. So sad.
ReplyDeleteShe is awesome and always will be. She looks amazing at her age of about forty years. Everyone's looks change as they age. Laura's facial sugery has indeed made her look a little different than she looked in her twenties, but she still is damn hot even compared to twenty years ago. Whatever she had done has made her look very much younger and even hotter.
ReplyDeleteI just watched the movie baby on board, and wow! What happened to her face she's still skinny she might have put on a lil weight but not enough to match her face. She looks like she had some type of plastic surgery or injections done, it look awful. She's beautiful we all know that but also her lips I cant believe anyone would intentionally do that to themselves especially since she was so beautiful before this she was almost unrecognizable to me in the movie. I had to really really look at her. Anyways she should reverse whatever she did. But we still love her!
ReplyDeleteI have lost my imaginary lover! Lara had one of the most beautiful faces in the world. I am saddened at the damage that has been done to her. Has the butcher that attempted the facial surgery lost his license yet? He should be ostracized by the qualified plastic and reconstructive surgery community.
ReplyDeleteWhat a shame......
Why would any woman want to do that to her face. She was an average looking woman before and now she is a freak. It is really sad that she thought she had to do it for work. You know we do not care what you look like as long as you have talent.
ReplyDeleteNo different than what Marge Helgenberger did to herself.
ReplyDeleteShe also was once a beautiful woman.
