Kim Kardashian has allowed the E! cameras to follow her on an appointment to get Botox. While the procedure appears to go well, she unfortunately suffers from a reaction while at a restaurant afterwards. What could this be from?
There are many possibilities. She could be allergic to the Botox although this is very rare. In fact, my office treats at least 50 Botox or Dysport patients each month, and I've never seen an actual allergic reaction. It could also be due to bruising and swelling causing her discomfort. Finally, and the most likely, maybe she's just a drama queen.

Kim Kardashian Admits to Botox? Ho hum...

Kim Kardashian has admitted to Botox and... nothing else. In a recent interview she has denied having her nose or breasts operated on. Her mom Kris also denied having a rhinoplasty, which, from what I remember about how she looks, seems untruthful to me.
Did any of you see Kim getting Velashape on her reality show to smooth her cellulite? Yes, she does have cellulite like 90% of women (and a few guys... check out Howard Stern's Fartman photos).

Kim Kardashian Denies Rhinoplasty and Lip Reduction

Kim Kardashian has strongly denied comments made in Star Magazine that she may have had a rhinoplasty and lip reduction:
She said on her blog: "Star Magazine is saying I had plastic surgery to make my nose and lips smaller! Why would someone want smaller lips?! LOL."
"Your face always looks different when you lose weight, plus with the contouring on my nose it gives the illusion of a thinner nose.""I actually think my nose looks smaller in the first pic than it does in the second. "It's ridiculous... it's all about the makeup and the angle from which the photo was taken! It's no secret I contour my nose now to make the bump go away!"
I haven't had a chance to see old photos of her, but to me her nose looks so refined that it is definitely possible she's had some very nice work done to it. I strongly doubt she's had her lips reduced though. This is a very uncommon surgery that can leave big scars. No way she's had that done. I wonder who the plastic surgeon is that made the comments to Star Magazine? They certainly didn't ask me! (Although I have been in Star a few times...)

Kim Kardashian: "I've Never Had Plastic Surgery."

Kim Kardashian has recently commented on her blog about the rumors that she's had plastic surgery. According to E! online:
"I have not ever had plastic surgery," she writes in her blog, accompanied by a voluptuous photo of herself in a bikini at age 14. I hope after seeing this you guys will never ask me a plastic surgery question again! I have had a size C since I was 11 years old!"
Also on the didn't-do-it list: lip injections, a nose job or butt implants. But Kim hasn't ruled out a little nip 'n' tuck: "One day I will definitely get a lift, but I am waiting until after I have kids. Until then I rely on a great supportive bra!"

Kim Kardashian and Anti-Cellulite Treatments

The three most common cellulite treatments are Velasmooth (which Kim had), Dermosonic, and Endermologie. All of them employ a deep tissue massage with various other treatments. I am partial to Dermosonic, which I have in my office, although I think they all work. Dermosonic combines external ultrasound treatments with a deep tissue massage using mechanical rollers.
Unfortunately, I don't know of ANY permanent cellulite eradicator. Most treatments provide for the "temporary reduction of the appearance of cellulite." This means that the treatments must continue to a certain extent for the results to continue. But feel assured, even a glamorous young Hollywood star like Kim Kardashian has cellulite!

Kim Kardashian - Buttock implants?

A reader sent me this photo and inquired whether Kim Kardashian may have had work done to her buttocks. Tough call. While her bottom does appear to jut out unnaturally, this may, in fact, be hereditary. I have seen some patients with similar figures who have not had any work done.
Buttocks are usually augmented using either solid silicone implants or via fat grafting (the Brazilian Butt Lift). I have never performed a buttock augmentation using implants, but have made the bottom bigger with fat grafting. This seems to work pretty well. My favorite way to enhance the buttocks, however, is to liposuction the hips and thighs around it. This essentially makes everything around it smaller, and can indirectly make the bottom look bigger and rounder compared to the rest of the body. It doesn't take as much time, has few complications, and allows the patient to sit down immediately. After surgery there is no need to say, "Bottoms up..."
