Dolly Parton - Plastic Surgery on American Idol

Dolly Parton was featured on American Idol last night. I thought she looked good... for Dolly Parton. I think Dolly is somewhat like Pam Anderson, in that they look somewhat artificial, but somehow it works for them since they are larger than life stars. She has nary a wrinkle on her face, but somehow looks much better than Joan Rivers, who appears to have had a similar amount of work done. This may be because her plastic surgeons have focused on addition of volume to her face in addition to tightening of the skin. I thought she looked radiant. She's such a musical legend, a a sweet, cute woman. I wouldn't want my mom to look like her, but it sure works for Dolly!

The website Dollymania addresses her plastic surgery in this way:
She has freely admitted to a great deal of plastic surgery, including having anything sucked, tucked or lifted when it starts to sag. She has said she had her breasts "lifted," has had work done on her face, neck and rear end, regularly endures chemical facial peels and takes collagen injections to hide wrinkles. She has said that she is not ashamed of having plastic surgery because she wants to look her best for her fans and believes anyone who wants to have it done, has the money to pay for it, thinks it will improve their self-esteem and visits a licensed and qualified doctor for the procedure should go ahead and do it.

Dolly Parton's "Shock and Awe" Breast Implants

Dolly Parton has recently announced a postponement of her tour due to a back injury, possibly stemming from her huge breasts. She has recently nicknamed them "Shock and Awe." According to the Huffington Post, she stated:

"I know I have been breaking my neck and bending over backwards trying to get my new Backwoods Barbie CD and world tour together, but I didn't mean to hurt myself doing it! But hey, you try wagging these puppies around a while and see if you don't have back problems. Seriously though, the doctors said I will be good as new in a few weeks & I can't wait to get back out there!"

Her breasts are so large in proportion to her frame that if they were real, many insurance companies would pay for her to have a breast reduction for medical reasons. Maybe she should rename her breasts "Ache and Pain!"

Dolly Parton - 26 Years of Plastic Surgery Changes

TMZ.com celebrated Dolly Parton's 62nd birthday yesterday with a set of before-and-after photos. She hasn't had anything done, don't you think? (well, maybe a facelift, upper and lower blepharoplasty, rhinoplasty, browlift, fat grafting, Botox, breast implants, Restylane, and chemical peels...but who's counting?)

Dolly Parton Quote on Breasts

Here is a recent quote from Dolly Parton:

"I'm in showbiz. I look at my boobs like they're show horses or show dogs. You've got to keep them groomed."

Groomed??? This can mean one of three things:
1. She has her implants changed out every so often, or...
2. She has her breasts lifted every so often, or...
3. She has hair on her breasts.

Maybe you have some ideas.

Dolly Parton - Plastic Surgery

Dolly Parton was at the Kennedy Center Honors the other night. She is looking a bit unnatural. I do think she looks better than Andrew Lloyd Webber though. I need to take a look at his up-close-and-personal photos.
Click here to see a previous post on Dolly Parton from last March. She is similar to Cher in the amount of work that appears to have been done. If she came to me I'd recommend that she stop with any more surgeries, and concentrate on looking as natural as possible. Let the Botox wear off a bit, maybe decrease the implant size to help out her back, and things like that...

Dolly Parton

Dolly Parton was the most obvious example of celebrity plastic surgery at this year's Oscars. From my perspective, it appears that she has had the following: Old-fashioned Browlift, Upper and Lower Blepharoplasties (eyelid lifts), Rhinoplasty, Facelift (more than one), Facial Fat Grafting, Botox all over, and Chemical Peels or Lasers for her skin. She has also had breast augmentation, and probably more than one (not news to anybody). Overall she looks pretty good, but may be going a bit too far. Her face is definitely showing the wear of age, but she is fighting it every step of the way. Unfortunately, she is crossing over into Joan Rivers-style work, and I hope that she doesn't continue to overdo it. I prefer more of a realistic look with my patients. Her eyebrows literally do not move, and this is not a good thing. Her plastic surgeon is reportedly a guy from Denver, who also does some operating out of Beverly Hills a day or two a week. Hard to work 9 to 5 when you're jet setting from the Rockies to Hollywood every week!
