Tameka Foster- Usher's Wife - Update on Plastic Surgery Complications
There are a few news stories that are reporting the current status of Usher's wife, Tameka Foster, who had complications while undergoing plastic surgery in Brazil. They all state that she is in stable condition, which is good. Details are still sketchy, but they include a possible cardiac and respiratory arrest during liposuction surgery. The anesthesia has been implicated as a possible cause, and she may have been induced into a coma for 24 hours.
Hopefully she hasn't suffered anoxic brain injury or another very serious complication. This story continues to develop, and I hope she comes out of it ok.

I can't imagine how anyone can think that having surgery of any sort in a 3rd World nation can possibly be safe.
The beautiful pageant contestants that viewers see on Miss World/Universe/Whatever generally have their surgeries or work done in the United States and not South America.
Laws requiring medical licensure/board certification and training and expertise are not the same in these countries as in the US.
Hospital or clinic sanitation is not the same and certainly not consumer protection laws which are generally nonexistent.
And what are patients going to do if medical malpractice is involved? Go to a foreign lawyer? - because that is what you're going to have to do.
Do you realize how much that is going to cost? A US lawyer, except in certain linited situations involving International Law or Patent Law, usually doesn't practice law in another country.
And what about that country's legal system? lol, more likely than not its Civil Law like in Mexico where whoever screams the loudest and most convincingly before the Magistrate wins the case.
I wonder is she went to a 3rd world nation for privacy. I am glad she is okay.
