Popeater is reporting that my favorite actress Julia Roberts has revealed that she is a "practicing Hindu" and is against Botox injections. According to the site:
"It's unfortunate that we live in such a panicked, dysmorphic society where women don't even give themselves a chance to see what they'll look like as older persons," the 'Eat Pray Love' star tells Elle in its September issue. "I want to have some idea of what I'll look like before I start cleaning the slates."
That sounds a bit excessive. Someone should tell her that Botox is temporary, is performed on hundreds of thousands of men too, and doesn't typically alter one's appearance in a major way. This is unlike a rhinoplasty, which I believe she may have had done.
Thanks for reading.

Julia DEFINITELY had a rhinoplasty done! Beautiful woman though, regardless if she doesn't ever decide to use Botox treatments.

A Southern Californian's opinion:
She's what, 42?
Comparing her recent pic with photos of her just a few years ago living in NM and looking very down-market, I'd say she has botox going on around her eyes, between the brows and in her neck and in her forehead.
Fillers under the eyes and marionette lines.
Peels and/or laser for skin discolorations and sun damage.
Not to mention a different base haircolor and highlights.
OK, I watched her today on Oprah (08/13/10) and her upper face did not move even when she smiled broadly and laughed.
So she's lyin' and uses botox.
Looks like she has fillers too since no lines around her nose to mouth or under her eyes except for a horizontal line above each cheek that appeared once when she laughed.
oh sure...and her top lip grew all by it's self in the nineties...careful Julia or your nose will GROW.
She's got the crow's feet-covering hairdo going on. :) She might also be doing what Morgan Fairchild suggested long ago: smile down. (e.g., don't scrunch your face, just drop your lower jaw.) Or maybe she's using some new kind of foundation that plasters her face into a particular position.
