Janice Dickinson

Janice Dickinson was recently filmed while getting Botox injections to her forehead. The bumps you see go away within a couple hours as the swelling dissipates.
Botox injections are now the most common cosmetic procedure performed in the US, both surgical or nonsurgical. It's far more common than chemical peels, microdermabrasion, or any surgery. The reason why it is so popular is because it's nearly painless to have done and causes dramatic visible results within a matter of days. In my opinion, Botox is a better bang-for-your-buck than virtually any other cosmetic treatment. It is great for smoothing the wrinkles of the forehead, between the eyebrows, and the crow's feet outside the eyes. It can also be injected to decrease sweating in the palms or armpits, and decrease the width of the jaw. The company that makes Botox (Allergan) is so successful off this one product that they recently purchased a company (Inamed) which is one of the two remaining breast implant companies in the US.

Ryan Seacrest

Seacrest...Rhinoplasty? It appears that Ryan Seacrest has enhanced his appearance with a nose job (rhinoplasty) to decrease the roundness of his nasal tip. He looks more refined and mature in the "after" photo. It is very surprising just how many stars have had rhinoplasty surgery. While some are obvious, there are many celebrities who appear to have had rhinoplasty surgery whom most people wouldn't suspect. Some people whom I believe have had their nose altered include Michelle Pfeiffer, Halle Berry, Julia Roberts, and Jennifer Aniston. For many, it has been an unfortunate prerequisite to stardom.

In my opinion, the nose should never be an attention-getting feature of the face. If the nose attracts attention, it is almost always in a negative fashion. Some examples of this include Ashlee Simpson, Jimmy Durante, and Pinnochio. The best-looking noses blend into the rest of the features of the face, and allow the other attractive features (usually the eyes, cheeks, or lips) to stand out. Hence, a good rhinoplasty de-emphasizes the nose, bringing out other more attractive facial features. This is most recently obvious with Ashlee Simpson or a "Thriller" Michael Jackson. So when this rule is applied to Ryan Seacrest, one can see that his alleged rhinoplasty was very successful. His nose no longer attracts attention.

Lip Plumpers

Jessica Simpson

Jessica Simpson visits plastic surgeon or psychiatrist? It's been reported that Jessica Simpson recently visited the office building of a prominent Beverly Hills plastic surgeon. Some sources report that she was there to see a psychiatrist instead of a plastic surgeon.
When I practiced in Los Angeles, we were in an office building which housed numerous plastic surgeons, in addition to OB-Gyn's, internists, and many other types of physicians. The mere fact that she went to a "medical building" doesn't mean much of anything.
Now, I wouldn't be surprised if she did visit a plastic surgeon there. It appears to me that she has had a good amount of work done for someone her age. This seems to include a breast augmentation (B's to D's), rhinoplasty (like sister Ashlee), and multiple lip augmentations. Overall, I think the work she's had done is pretty good, with the exception of overplumping the lips on occasion. I would recommend that she stop at this point, however, at the risk of overdoing things.

Goldie Hawn

Is Goldie Hawn starting to look her age? She has been the subject of plastic surgery rumors for years, and in my opinion has really looked good for a long time. Sure, she's had the obligatory large lips and all, but for a 60 year old woman she still looks fantastic. Here is a link to some more candid photos of her without all the makeup and airbrushing which show that she is a regular person, like all of us, and ages somewhat appropriately. In my experience, 60 year old women don't have straight necklines like hers without a bit of plastic surgery help. At least she hasn't gone "Overboard!" (sorry)

Jennifer Grey

Jennifer Grey is a good example of how a rhinoplasty can really change someone's looks, whether for good or bad. The removal of the bump on her nose (dorsal hump is the scientific term) made her look very different from Baby in "Dirty Dancing." I personally think she looks better, but the problem is that she doesn't look like she used to. Her nose was one of her defining features (like Julia Roberts without her lips, Cindy Crawford without her mole, or David Letterman without the gap between his front teeth), and now she just doesn't look the same. See some of the Jacksons for other examples.

Have a good Memorial Day weekend!

Dr. Robert Rey

Is Dr. Robert Rey a hero? It appears the star of Dr. 90210 recently helped during a skirmish on a plane we was flying on.
Now I don't know Dr. Rey too well, but I have met him on a few occasions during my time as a plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills. Some of you may remember my all-too-brief time on the show as well. My office was located in the same building that he operated in, and he was kind enough to show me his technique for breast augmentation through the belly button. My impression of him was much like you see on TV. He is a good guy, does a lot of good work for people, and was very gracious with me. He gave me some good advice during the time I spent with him, and I think has done very well for himself.
Dr. Rey completed a breast and cosmetic plastic surgery fellowship at Harvard Medical School's Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital. He has also attended such prestigious universities as the U.C.L.A. School of Medicine, Tufts University School of Medicine and Harvard University. I think very highly of him.
I've also met Dr. Linda Li and her husband Bill. They also were very gracious people, and I think very highly of them as well.

Katie Couric

Has Katie Couric had plastic surgery? From the photos that I've seen, I don't think she's had anything major done. Overall, I think she has aged fairly well, although it is difficult to really know how she looks like since the TV makeup can cover up so much.
She does appear to have had Botox injections to her forehead, resulting in nary a wrinkle up there. Interestingly, she may not have had the injections into her crow's feet, which is a very common place to have them as well. I do not think she's had a facelift or other major plastic surgery, as she does have some early looseness to her neck which is common in people her age.
Now, what SHOULD she consider having? One thing I'd consider is a gummy smile repair. A "gummy smile" is what you see when someone smiles and a significant portion of their gums show (like Lilly Tomlin). There are several treatments for this, including breaking the facial bones and setting them back (very painful), shaving the gums back to show more teeth and less gums (can result in "buck teeth"), or my favorite technique, taught to me by one of my mentors, Dr. Richard Ellenbogen. The gummy smile can be improved by making a small incision inside the nose and the cutting the muscles which pull the lip up. A small plastic implant in then placed between the muscle edges to prevent them from growing back together. It's a very slick operation with virtually no visible scars and nice results. Dr. Ellenbogen has some nice before and afters here.
By the way, I have a small gummy smile and considered having it repaired but never got around to it. Now I just avoid making big, toothy grins.

Nicole Ritchie

Has Nicole Ritchie been shopping for a nose job? I've read on the Truth in Cosmetic Surgery Blog that this may be true. Here is a link to the story.
Body dysmorphic disorder (or BDD) is a psychiatric disease where the person afflicted sees something different in the mirror than what everyone else sees. It is often clustered around the nose, and this is what often makes rhinoplasty (nose job) patients very difficult to work with. A rhinoplasty patient with BDD will look in the mirror and see a horrible-looking hook nose where everyone else sees a nice-looking nose with a slightly large tip. This often causes people to undergo several surgeries by several surgeons in an attempt to "fix" what another surgeon did or to continue to whittle away at a formerly good-looking nose. I have seen some patients who've had their noses operated on 10 (yes, ten!) times and were still looking to get it done again. Scar tissue builds up with each surgery, and the nose looks worse and worse. This is what I believe has happened to Michael Jackson.

Audrey Hepburn

Who is the most beautiful woman of all time? My wife, of course. Who is the most beautiful celebrity of all time? I would have to say Audrey Hepburn. In my opinion, Audrey Hepburn was the epitome of Hollywood grace, style, class, and beauty. While there are so many stars today who are getting bad plastic surgery (and I have commented on quite a few), I do think it is important to recognize someone who has had good work done.
Now, do I really think she has had work done? It's hard to say. I always tell my patients that "Good plastic surgery is so natural that people cannot tell it's been done." Audrey looked absolutely beautiful even at an advanced age. I thought she was glowing in the overlooked movie "Always," which to my knowledge was her last big role. Could she have had a mini-facelift to tighten up her neckline, and some eyelid lifts to keep her from looking worn out and tired? Quite possibly. Either way, she always looked fantastic and carried herself with a grace that is rarely seen today. She is an example for all of the aging actresses that it is possible to grow older and remain naturally beautiful. Her work with UNICEF must also be commended, as she spent time with children in third world countries way before Brangelina appeared on the scene. I, too, did my part for UNICEF when trick-or-treating in my store-bought Batman outfit...

Nicole Kidman

Nicole Kidman gets set to be a Botox bride? According to the National Enquirer, she has seen a prominent New York dermatologist for Botox prior to her upcoming wedding with Keith Urban. I believe this is one reason why her brows look so highly-arched. The "Botox Brow" is a telltale sign of a Botox'd forehead.

Janice Dickinson

Janice Dickinson has some pretty shocking lips! Ms. Robin Mizrahi from The National Enquirer asked me and two other prominent plastic surgeons to examine the latest photos of supermodel Janice Dickinson. Check out this week's May 15th issue of the Enquirer to see who they claim to be "Hollywood's Worst Plastic Surgery Ever." She appears to have had major augmentation to her lips, making them look "like a trout." (I can't believe they actually quoted me on that!) In my opinion, the only way to get lips that big and stiff-looking is through an implant. The most common implants that I see are made of Gore-tex, which I have in my winter jacket. Because they are not a patient's own tissue (like fat) or absorbable liquid (like collagen or Restylane), they often do not look as realistic, and can make the lips look more stiff than typical lips. This is most apparent when a person speaks or smiles. Although I believe Janice has had some very nice work done (such as her brows), this recent "addition" takes the cake. Like my good friend Dr. Steven Svehlak commented, "I would not want to advertise this result as an example of my work." Well said.

Ashlee Simpson

Did Ashley Simpson get a nose job? I have been asked this by several leading celebrity magazines. It does appear to me that she has had her nose tweaked. It looks more straight and without quite the "bump" that she had before. The nose fits her face better. The sign of a good rhinoplasty is that the nose no longer takes attention away from the other attractive facial features (eyes, lips, cheekbones). The nose is meant to blend in with the face, not attract attention. Attention-getting noses are in general thought to be unattractive (see Howard Stern or Pinocchio). Therefore, I believe that it was a very nice job. Plus, she looks more like Jessica!

Michael Jackson Part II

Michael Jackson and plastic surgery...continued! There has been a lot said about Michael's claims that his skin has lightened over the years due to a medical condition called vitiligo. I do not believe that his skin can become so evenly white solely from vitiligo. Vitiligo is a bona fide skin disorder which causes the skin to lose pigment in areas. These areas are usually patchy, such as seen in the photo above from wikipedia. It appears much more likely to me that Michael has been bleaching his skin using one or more of the topical skin lighteners which are available. This way he can get the even white color he currently has. What is the dead giveaway to this?
Look at his hands, specifically his fingernails. It is impossible to get the skin bleaching cream under the nails, and therefore the skin under the nails should remain dark. If you've seen any interviews of him when he isn't wearing gloves, his nails look odd. They are darker than the surrounding skin. In my opinion, this is the most obvious sign that he's been bleaching his skin. It may also be a reason why he wears gloves so often. Vitiligo??? More like Clorox!!!

Michael Jackson Part I

Michael Jackson and bad plastic surgery: What do they have in common? It appears everything! The time has finally come for me to comment on the Gloved One, and we will start with his nose. It appears that Michael has had more than one rhinoplasty (no surprise to anyone). If you look at his album covers, I think he had one before "Thriller" which caused his nose to look a little thinner. He looked great at that time and should not have had anything more done. Unfortunately, a few years later he released "Bad." This is when I believe he began looking a bit odd. Things have obviously gone downhill from there, culminating in his appearance in court a few years ago where it appeared that an implant may be protruding through the skin of his nose.
So what can be done to make his nose look better? Can anything be done to save Michael, or at least Bubbles the chimp?? Because he likely has so much scar tissue left after several surgeries, the best chance to rebuild his nose would be to treat it as a reconstructive surgery. With people who have cancer of the nose, it can be rebuilt by taking skin from the forehead and moving it to the nose to cover the cartilage. I believe that this surgery would be his best option to look normal again. Any bets on him doing it?
In my next post I will comment on his skin color. He claims to have vitiligo, but I do not believe this to be the sole reason his skin is so white. There appears to be something else going on. How can I tell? You'll have to return to find out...

Angelina Jolie

Angelina Jolie has made the cover of People's Most Beautiful People issue. I've had a lot of people ask me what I think about her lips. I believe that Angelina is one of the few people in Hollywood who is blessed with naturally full, luscious lips. While she may get some help from collagen at times, she appears to be as natural as can be. One way to tell if lips are natural or done is to compare the upper to the lower lip. The lower lip is naturally approximately 1.5 times the size of the upper lip. People who have their lips done poorly often have upper lips which are the same size or larger than their lower lips. Two others whom I believe also have naturally large lips are Scarlett Johanssen and Julia Roberts. Sorry, Lisa Rinna.

DJ AM

Has DJ AM had a tummy tuck? PerezHilton.com reports that Nicole Richie's fiance had around 20 lbs removed via an abdominoplasty. Apparently he's had gastric bypass surgery and lost over 150 lbs since then. The tummy tuck is a very common surgery after gastric bypass or major weight loss. Twenty pounds is quite a bit to remove, although not all that uncommon for people who have lost so much weight. Unfortunately, there are major scars with this surgery which must be accepted by the patient. With time, they fade but never completely go away. Kind of like "The Simple Life" TV show??

George Michael

Is George Michael a good father figure for plastic surgery? He looks quite a bit different from his "Faith" days. I think a large part of it stems from a bit of weight gain as he has gotten older (most people gain about 10 lbs every decade). He may also have had a browlift and upper blepharoplasty as well, causing his eyelids to look smaller (see Kenny Rogers). No matter, he still has a pretty impressive set of pipes! I think he is one of the best pop singers ever.

Addendum:
He made a great return recently at American Idol. The song was a bit depressing, but it is nice to see him back in the spotlight.

Motor City Middays Interview

I will be interviewed on a local Detroit radio show, Motor City Middays 97.1 Free FM tomorrow (Wednesday April 19th) at 2pm. For those of you interested, it will be streaming live on www.live971freefm.com. We will be discussing the latest in skin care and plastic surgery, and may even get to go over some celebrity before and after photos. It's a great show, so if you get a chance, check it out!

Tawny Kitaen

Here she goes again... What is going on with Tawny Kitaen? She's of Whitesnake fame and is on the current season of "the Surreal Life" on VH1. Tawny is quite a bit different than before, and appears to have had a good deal of plastic surgery. Starting from the top, she looks like she's had a brow lift with Botox, as her forehead is wrinkle-free and doesn't move. It's not visible on this "after" photo, but her brows are considerably higher than they used to be. She also appears to have had upper and lower eyelid lifts, which have taken away from the heavier look that her upper eyelids used to have. Her eyes now look more round and small, which can be a consequence of eyelid surgery.
Her cheeks are consistent with cheek implants, causing them to be fuller and rounder than they used to be. I am not a fan of these plastic implants, because they tend to look stiff and make the smile look odd. Instead, I tend to use fat grafting, which is MUCH more realistic-looking and doesn't have that "stiff" look.
She also appears to have had her lips augmented, likely with restylane or collagen.
It seems that every season of "the Surreal Life" has someone who looks like they've had considerable plastic surgery performed (i.e. Chyna and Janice Dickinson), so Tawny fits the bill well. I find this one of those shows which I can't help but watch on the weekends when they play several episodes back to back...

Kenny Rogers Part II

Kenny Rogers Update:
It seems that he admits to having his eyelids done, but they are too tight. In a recent magazine he is quoted as saying:
"Last year I had so many lines coming in at the side of my eyes up here. So I went in and got my eyes done, and I'm not happy about it. (The surgeon) is going to go in and fix that for me. They're too tight around the eyelids for me. It drives me crazy. I wake up in the morning, and Wanda says, "You look great." But I know what I want to look like. If we can fix that, then I'll be glad I did it. If we can't fix it, I'll regret it or get used to it. "
Too bad for Kenny. His plastic surgeon has apparently taken too much eyelid skin off, making his lids too tight. This is a big problem that is not easily corrected. For some people time will loosen it up a bit. For others, the only way to treat overly tight upper eyelids is to lengthen the eyelids with a skin graft. It is very important for men to go to plastic surgeons who have a keen eye for not feminizing a man who doesn't want it. Overly tight eyelids can make men look more effeminate. I've given lectures on this locally. Hopefully Kenny's eyes will loosen up a bit!

The most common celebrity plastic surgeries

What is the most common plastic surgery for celebrities? The following comments are my opinion only, deduced after working as a Hollywood plastic surgeon for a time and becoming a pop culture and celebrity plastic surgery "expert." By far the most common cosmetic procedure is Botox. Botox has gotten so widespread in Hollywood nowadays that I notice when people do not have Botox more than when people do. This was most evident when I watched Tea Leoni act all flustered in that Adam Sandler clunker, "Spanglish." She had so many forehead wrinkles and crow's feet in that movie that I found it almost distracting to watch her. That many forehead wrinkles are rarely seen in beautiful Hollywood actresses today, so I applaud her for going au natural.
As far as surgery goes, the top three in my opinion are liposuction, breast augmentation, and rhinoplasty. All three of these occur much more often in celebrities than in the normal population. Breast augmentations are often obvious (hello Mariah Carey!), whereas liposuction can be difficult to determine (I've had people tell me that J. Lo has had it done numerous times), and rhinoplasties are either good (Halle Berry?) or bad (Jennifer Grey?). There are many more celebrities who've had these surgeries done than most people may realize. (I even believe that the great Julia Roberts has had her nose done!) At some point, the normal population may catch up with Hollywood celebrities in the amount of plastic surgery performed, but by then the celebrities may have gone onto bigger and more drastic ways to keep themselves young and relevant. Maybe they will have started cloning themselves by then. Just what we need, another Carrottop!
Have a great Easter! My son Daniel (3 months old) is getting baptized on Easter Sunday, so we are very excited...

Omarosa - Breast Augmentation?

Has Omarosa had a breast augmentation? In my opinion, it looks to be so! When she pushes up her breasts with her hands, they appear to be stuck in place. This is a likely sign of a breast implant that was placed under the muscle. It's realistic-looking though, since she is not too big. Maybe she is following in the footsteps of her best pal, Janice Dickinson.

Michael Douglas

It looks like Michael Douglas has had a facelift! A few months ago he went out on the town with his scars very visible! It looks to me like a traditional muscle tightening facelift, with the scars in front of the ears. I am not a fan of the type of scar they gave him, as it is not as hidden as it could be. I suppose he needs to look young to keep up with the Joneses (Catherine Zeta-Jones, that is).

Kenny Rogers Part I

The Gambler has gambled on some plastic surgery...and won?? Kenny Rogers was on "American Idol" tonight, looking pretty decent. I believe he's had upper and lower eyelid lifts (blepharoplasty) performed, making his eyes look wide open. It's a good job, since it doesn't make him look too effeminate, like some men who appear to have had work done (Michael Douglas - eyelids, Robert Redford - eyelids, David Gest - yikes!). An upper eyelid lift takes about an hour, can be performed with twilight anesthesia (not general), and has a recovery time of a week or so. Pain is almost nonexistent.
By the way, I thought it was a lackluster night tonight on AI. I'm rooting for Chris, Kelly Pickler, or Mandiva (my favorite, Lisa, got voted off last week!). Bucky, Taylor and Ace need to hit the road!

Survivor and Breast Implants

The television show "Survivor" always seems to have a female contestant who reveals that she has breast implants. Although it is not always obvious at the beginning, after several weeks of near starvation, all the body parts get smaller except the round breasts. I wrote about this phenomenon last month. I am enjoying watching this season's "Survivor: Exile Island," although my favorite contestants are all getting voted off! That leaves people like Danielle (above) vying for the one million dollar prize. She appears to be the contestant this time who has implants, although they do appear to be a better job than most of the others. I'm rooting for Austin to win, although it looks like it may end up being that tool Shane.

Britney Spears sculpture

Sculpture of Britney Spears giving birth to Sean Preston... This sculpture is ridiculous because Britney gave birth via C-Section in a sterile hospital operating room, not on a bear skin rug! Due to idiotic malpractice lawyers run amok and way too many frivilous lawsuits, the C-Section rate has risen to almost 40% nationwide. There are many who are having C-Sections as a matter of convenience as well. Some C-Sections are also performed in order to protect the mother and/or baby too. My understanding is that Britney's reason of undergoing this type of birth is to avoid the pain of childbirth. I also hear that she may be pregnant with her second child with K-Fed. Hit me baby one more time!

Jessica Simpson - breast implants?

Has Jessica Simpson had a breast augmentation? The above photos are from the most recent issue of In Touch magazine, where I was interviewed on this very topic. It appears that after her very public breakup with Nick Lachey, she has undergone a change in her breast size. The above photos show her in the same outfit, before and after the breakup. It does appear to me that her breasts have increased in size from a C cup to a D. There are many actresses who undergo changes in their breast size (such as Pamela Anderson and Britney Spears), both making them smaller and larger by likely exchanging implants for different sizes. It is possible that after her recent documented weight loss, she had lost size of her breasts and has had her previous implants replaced with larger ones.
Most women who undergo breast augmentation fall in one of three groups: (1) Those who are usually in their twenties, have never had large breasts, and are finally at the stage in life when they can afford them, (2) Those who are usually in their thirties, have finished having children, and would like their breasts to be like they were before breast feeding and pregnancy changed them, and (3) Those women who have recently become divorced and are looking to improve their self image as they re-enter the dating scene. Is it possible that Jessica is one of the third group??

Star Jones

Star Jones has reportedly undergone a breast lift and tummy tuck recently while on break from the View. Unfortunately, sources are reporting that she had a major postoperative bleeding complication. This necessitated her being transported to St. John's Medical Center in Santa Monica for blood transfusions. This is a very unusual complication, but can happen to anyone. I am very hesitant to perform tummy tucks at the same time as breast lifts for this very reason. It is a lot of surgery for someone to undergo, and depending on the surgeon's technique, could be dangerous. Hopefully she will undergo a full recovery.

In Touch Weekly

What work have Meg Ryan, Teri Hatcher, Priscilla Presley, and Patrick Dempsey had done? My comments are in the newest issue of In Touch Weekly, on stands now. I believe all four of them have had Botox (Teri and Patrick have admitted to using it), in addition to lip plumpers for Teri and Meg (obviously). I've recently commented on Priscilla in a previous post. I think both Teri and Patrick look pretty good, but Meg needs to get those implants out of her duck-shaped lips and Priscilla needs to lay off the work for a while.

Kimberly Stewart

It looks like Kimberly Stewart has gotten some surgery lately. Those look like high profile D-cup implants, likely on top of the muscle. It's difficult to get that high chested, round beach ball look without placing them on top of the muscle, since the muscle gets in the way of moving them up on the chest. Women who get large implants and are very thin also have very unnatural results. She would be better off with C-cup, under the muscle, moderate profile implants. Many of these can be seen on my website photo gallery:

Jessica Simpson and Operation Smile

Jessica Simpson is a spokesperson for Operation Smile. This is a very good group of plastic surgeons, anesthesiologists, pediatricians, and nurses who travel to third world countries and perform cleft lip and palate repair surgeries on children. Usually, these children would not have had any other options, and would otherwise be deformed for life. I helped on an Operation Smile child several years ago with Dr. Steven Ringler in Grand Rapids, Michigan. We repaired a cleft palate on a small child who was flown in for the surgery. There are many other groups which do similar things, such as Smile Train, but it was nice for Jessica to go out of her way to lobby for such a worthwhile cause. It's better than lobbying for Pizza Hut!

Lil Kim

My peeps are reporting that Lil Kim has asked to get out of jail so she can get treatment for her leaking breast implants. If anyone has any information on this, can you let me know? I posted a photo of her breasts this past month.

Celebrity Noses in Jane magazine

Which are the best celebrity noses? I was interviewed recently by "Jane" magazine, where they asked me which celebrity noses are most requested by patients to look like. They printed my responses in this past month's magazine, as shown above. By far, the most requested celebrity nose is Halle Berry. I have gotten a lot of African American women who have asked for a nose like hers. Which nose do people NOT want to have? It's probably a tie between Michael Jackson and Jennifer Grey (after the nose-job, not before). Michael's nose is obviously worse than Jennifer's, but it's the change in Jennifer's overall appearance that people don't like. She doesn't look like "Jennifer Grey" anymore, and it may have unfortunately affected her career. But I have no doubt she may resurface again, since Nobody Puts Baby in a Corner!

Life and Style Weekly

For my take on Ashley Simpson's possible recent plastic surgery, check out this week's Life and Style Weekly magazine. She's looking more and more like Jessica!
There are more and more blog readers each day, and I am glad that this site has found an audience. If you have any celebrity photos you'd like me to look at, or any celebrity plastic surgery questions, feel free to comment on this site or email me at miplasticsurgeon@yahoo.com.

Dolly Parton

Dolly Parton was the most obvious example of celebrity plastic surgery at this year's Oscars. From my perspective, it appears that she has had the following: Old-fashioned Browlift, Upper and Lower Blepharoplasties (eyelid lifts), Rhinoplasty, Facelift (more than one), Facial Fat Grafting, Botox all over, and Chemical Peels or Lasers for her skin. She has also had breast augmentation, and probably more than one (not news to anybody). Overall she looks pretty good, but may be going a bit too far. Her face is definitely showing the wear of age, but she is fighting it every step of the way. Unfortunately, she is crossing over into Joan Rivers-style work, and I hope that she doesn't continue to overdo it. I prefer more of a realistic look with my patients. Her eyebrows literally do not move, and this is not a good thing. Her plastic surgeon is reportedly a guy from Denver, who also does some operating out of Beverly Hills a day or two a week. Hard to work 9 to 5 when you're jet setting from the Rockies to Hollywood every week!

Priscilla Presley

Priscilla Presley appears to have had quite a bit of work done lately. The changes in her face in the last 10 years have been astounding. She looked great in "The Naked Gun" movie series, but since then appears to have had too much plastic surgery. Her entire upper face appears overly Botoxed with a likely browlift. Her nose looks wider, and can be the result of scar tissue buildup from more than one rhinoplasty. Her cheeks have been overly-filled, likely with silicone injections or fat. I do quite a bit of fat grafting, but one of the keys to fat grafting in a natural way is to avoid injecting it in the lower face, with the exception of in the lips and under each corner of the mouth. Her face has become more rounded, with too much fullness in the jaw area and cheek hollows. This may be a consequence of a type of fat grafting where very large amounts of fat are injected. The upward pull of her cheeks and corners of the mouth are a possible consequence of a midface lift, which is a controversial surgery to elevate these areas. I am not a fan of this surgery, and find that people who have it done improperly can look unnatural. She also has overly defined lips, which could be surgically altered to emphasize the line between the lips and skin.
Wow, if only Elvis could see her now. He'd be All Shook Up.

Priscilla Presley

Holy cow! Has anyone seen Priscilla Presley lately? I swear I caught a glimpse of her during "Extra" tonight. She has had some major work done, and all of it bad. Once I get a photo I'll post it and comment. She's looking like th Joker, but with chipmunk cheeks.
